I founded Banava Consulting to serve a marketplace that benefits from an environment of professionals who actively enjoy their careers, and the success that follows. A significant source of stress for most firms and service professionals is the need to market their services and engage clients. This stress detracts from a professional’s ability to remain immersed in her practice and the reasons she entered her field. I work with firms and professionals to create and implement marketing and business development strategies that produce successful and sustainable practices, while allowing service professionals more time to focus on the reasons they love what they do.
Furthermore, in professions that operate under the billable hour, developing business opportunities is a smart method for a professional to build equity in her career and provide value to her firm. Effective business development requires a skills and values-driven brand that is strategically aligned with potential client communities, as well as efforts to elevate one’s professional profile. It is challenging and time-consuming, and time is a precious resource. My value is in ensuring that professionals are strategic, efficient, and effective in developing business. I move professionals out of “sales mode” and into a market position where clients actively seek out their expertise and services.
Business development training is dynamic and powerful because service professionals must develop new skills to do it well. These skills involve self-awareness, effective communication, and a universal understanding of the business and personal needs of their clients. I see this as a fantastic opportunity for professional growth and recognition.
I believe that the combination of my sharply analytic yet approachable style, business acumen, research expertise, vast network in law and business, and deep understanding of the professional lives and goals of my clients allows me to offer unique value to firms and professionals.
